The GCR Locomotive Group attends events with its display stand giving members of the public the latest developments in the project. Members of the group also give talks and presentations at society and other meetings. The next talks and events are listed below. Saturday 13th April 2024: Hengist & B17 Open Day
The GCR 567 Group is pleased to announce we are attending the Hengist & B17 open Day on Saturday 13th April 2024, 10am to 4pm with our events tent.
Meet the team, parts from the locomotive and we anticipate the EM gauge Model of GCR 567 Locomotive, built by GCRS President John Quick.
Venue is indoor at CTL Seal Ltd. Butterthwaite Lane, Ecclesfield. Sheffield S35 9WA
The venue is an industrial site and was dubbed Sheffield Steam Works by the BBC's Tom Ingle, a great friend of the Great Central Railway.
